Love Is In The Air !

Love is in the air every sight and every sound...............who remembers that song !! its quite an oldie ! will have to Google it now cos I cant get it out of my head !! It seems everywhere I look around blog land at the moment love and romance are in the air , either that or Christmas.  As I'm currently working on A Valentines theme for my shop I thought I would go with that.  The lovely Mr P and I don't celebrate it we never have but being a business women I have to cater for my customers and so I am filling my shop with romance,  goodness knows we need a little distraction here in Greece !

Although there  are lots of challenges with this theme at the moment two particular ones I liked the most , the first being Just Add Ink who I have played with before and they always have fabulous work from their design team . They are asking us to use only red and white on our creations and no other colour. Over at Pals Paper Arts ( PPA) another new discovery and more fabulous DT work,  they are asking us to add any red . So I did just that so come and see

I have been making my own embellishments lately and the heart in the centre is one of those, I made a silicone mould of the heart which was made from resin and when the mould had set I filled it with air drying Fimo , I removed it from the mould and left it to dry, it looks cream coloured on the photo but it is white . For the red circle I used felt which I cut with a Marianne  die as is the white larger doily.

Here's  a close up of the heart for those of us with bloggers blindness

The possibilities are endless with these home made moulds and I love the results they're also great filled with UTEE have made loads with that but that's another post .

This is the inside cut with my trusty Cameo and a little Fimo home made heart in the corner.

This next one very simple and all curtesy of my Cameo

Do pop over to Just Add Ink and PPA to see the wonderful inspirational pieces they have to share with us and why not take part after all Love is in the Air !!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you for your get well wishes bloggers bum has now receded ( I wish my own would ) and I am just left with bloggers blindness !!

Take care

Marie

  2. My Mum loves that song!!! Yes, definitely that category of "if you are a certain age" lol (when do we start to fall into that category, is it 40 and over? Anyway, I guess I am there with all 43 years behind me lol)
Love is overflowing I'd say with this stunning piece of papercrafting. The handmade heart from the mould is a fabulous focal.
Have a great weekend Marie, maybe with lots of creativity taking place.

As for the song - yeah had to Google it cos I got it in my head and couldn't remember any more words -

And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when I look in your eyes

    Thanks for the memories.

  11. Both your cards are fabulous! Marie. Your Fimo heart is just gorgeous!! I love your 'Cameo' card, too. I know Cameo cuts them out, but we have to do all the assembly work...which can sometimes take a lot of patience. I've just assembled a heart box...What a pain in the butt!! - LOL!

  52. Two stunning cards but both quite different. I might aim for a Cameo for Christmas this year, it's certainly on my wish list now after seeing what you can do with it on several blogs this week. Love your hearts too. And as for Valentines - don't go for it much myself but my hubby does and he's taking me out for lunch to celebrate on Tuesday ... sometimes you've just got to go with the flow :) Elizabeth x
