A quick post today as for the past week I have been having internet issues . Now it may sound a bit strange but when it rains and it has been here in Thessaloniki for the past month then the internet is very intermittent , especially this last week the more rain we have the less internet !!! So here are a couple of quick cards I made for the Cas-ual Fridays challenge " for Sentimental Reason " We are being asked to use the sentiment as the focal point here is what I came up with....
Please do pop over to Cas-ual fridays to see the sensational work by the DT who always manage to create such spectacular inspirational cards week after week !
I would like to thank the lovely and talented Jenny from Crafting in the Country for my lovely blog candy, Jenny recently celebrated her first year blog anniversary and I was one of the lucky winners. Not only did she send me a fabulous stamp set by Paper Smoochies but she also included one of her own cards and lots of lovely die cuts and buttons. Thank you so much Jenny ! For those of you who have not visited Jenny I do urge you to pop over and visit her blog not only is she a very talented lady but she is one of the nicest ladies I have come across in blog land.
Right am off before blogger kicks me off, that and the fact that the men and the dogs are all whimpering in the background , lunch is late as usual !!
Take care
Marie
For some reason blogger is not showing this post in reader and is not arriving at your desk tops . Could anyone please let me know if they are following me and they are having problems you may have seen a test post which has now been deleted. Thank you
Enjoy the rest of your weekend
Marie
Accompanying envelope
Both cards where created with the help of my Cameo, the front panels embossed with Sizzix embossing folders and the butterfly curtesy of Hero Arts, I stamped onto leather with Stazon black ink and then fussy cut ( a bit tricky with leather )

Hi Marie. The embossing is gorgeous on these and the off the edge sentiments look fab. Our internet doesn't seem to run alongside our dvd player! When we play a dvd, our connection goes - not sure what that's all about. Enjoy your week.

Hi Marie, first of all your cards are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThis post came up on my Dashboard, but it took me a few attempts to connect to your blog post.
Hope it gets sorted out for you soon.

Hi Marie,
ReplyDeleteI came here from your "Testing" post, which was showing on my dashboard, but your CAS-ual Fridays post wasn't showing on my dashboard.

ReplyDeleteShow stopping designs on both cards, Marie. So different. Love the leather butterfly. So disconcerting when the internet is on and off ... I sympathize. I'm not having any trouble seeing your new posts. Sounds like you got a lovely package of goodies. Have fun with them. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteI saw the test page but not this one, not sure why this happens but there is one other blog I follow which often doesn't feed me the posts. Great sentiment card, love the cheery yellow and white. Have a good day. xx

ReplyDeleteαπιστευτες καρτες!!απο τις αγαπημενες μου!!
ReplyDeleteI've arrived from your test page Marie but I haven't seen this post on my reader. Hope you get it sorted soon - I'm having trouble with my RSS feed and am completely bewildered by the whole thing! I love your card with the gorgeous embossing and the cut-out sentiment - you always work miracles with your Cameo! My cousin was showing me her machine last week and I was just wondering whether to start dropping hints for my birthday when she told me the price... she did manage to revive me in the end though! Good to see you enjoying Jenny's blog candy! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome cards! WOW.

Love the embossing on the cards! They are beautifully elegant! Hope things are getting better in Greece my friend! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Marie! Thanks a lot for your sweet comment - I appreciate that so much!!
ReplyDeleteYellow/white is such a great comination! Cheerful and full of joy!
You said, that you used your Cameo for the cutting part - are you happy with this machine? May I also ask you, where you bought it?
Hugs,
Uli
Gorgeous cards - you and that Cameo work so well together. Hope the sun soon comes out for you.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet xx
Two stunning cards! Love the use of the sentiments and the embossing too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Marie! Looking at your cards makes me want to make them again. Lost my card mojo a little bit. But I will start next week again. Thanks, have a great Sunday. Channa
ReplyDeleteHi Marie, Fabulous cards - your Cameo is proving it's worth. I really like the way the sentiment is indeed the star of these cards. Rain ... in the south of England they are praying for the stuff and between us we've got tons ... it's a topsy-turvy world. Never found it interfered with our Internet connection but I swear my Broadband (Sky) has issues with high winds. Thanks for popping in and leaving your kind comments. I don't suppose snowdrops grow in Greece. The children are no better this evening so a call is going out to the doctor in the morning. Juli has been treating them for a virus but it looks as though a course of antibiotics might be necessary. And now it seems my wee great-granddaughter is going down with the same or similar too - I'm just hoping it's not flu. Take care, Elizabeth x
ReplyDeleteYour posts have not been showing up on my blog Marie so am sorry if I've not visited you. Loving your fab designs. Hope you are keeping well and happy. Happy Mothers Day to you. Hugs Annette x
ReplyDeleteI don't check reader that often cos I am a bad blogger! But this is gorgeous.
